sneaky squeaky slipply ripply blinky slinky

object: slinky

If you hold one end of a metal slinky up to your ear while letting the rest of the slinky it dangle, it makes this shivery metal noise, somewhere between a doing! of a cartoon spring and the sound of hitting a big fat guy-wire and the space music that NPR played late at night in the 80's. My flash turned this ordinary orange plastic slinky turned into a tangerine light-slide.

Like the crazy man said, we're built from spirals and living in a giant spiral... The milky way is a spiral galaxy, which is a giant rotating disc of matter whose gravity creates density waves, which form the luminous spiral shape from which they take their name. Spiral galaxies can be barred, or otherwise.

Mystics love spirals. So do plants. As spiral tunes go, I dig the ones in coffee-cream, in Thai iced tea, and in clear, shallow water along ripply beaches.
